PayPal is the global leader today in online payment solutions, with nearly 150 million registered users. It has been accepted by millions of merchants worldwide.  PayPal was acquired by eBay Inc.  In Oct 2002. It provides any individual or business having e-mail address a service for conducting secure online transactions. By using PayPal, you can easily and quickly send and receive payment online. PayPal utilizes financial infrastructure of bank accounts and credit cards.  It is equipped with the worlds most advanced proprietary fraud prevention systems  which allows it to provide a  safe payment solution. A PayPal account can be easily funded with an electronic debit from a bank account or using by a credit card. The receipt of PayPal transfer can be request as a check too. One can  establish one`s own deposit account with   PayPal or request to transfer to his respective bank account.

PayPal performs the payment processing for many online vendors, auction sites and other commercial portals. It charges  fees for the same. Sometimes it may charge a transaction fee for receiving money. This  depends upon the payment option used, the country of the sender, the country of receipt etc. The salient features of PayPal may be summarized as follows

Protect your Google Account!!

                        In this article I would like to explore on six ways how your Googl account may end up in trouble.  Google introduced new security technique against these methods, hence I request  you to use Google ‘2 step verification’ to protect your account. I hope this will give sound knowledge about hacking and may help you protect other internet accounts too.

               1. Using Keyloggers is one of the Easiest Way to Hack Google password. Not only for Google, but also We can hack Internet bank details too.  Keylogger programs can spy on what the user types from the keyboard. If you think that you can just uninstall such programs, you are wrong as they are completely hidden.

A keylogger, sometimes called a keystroke logger, key logger, or system monitor, is a hardware device or small program that monitors each keystroke a user types on a specific computer’s keyboard. Keylogger is the easiest way to hack account.

A keylogger program is widely available on the Internet. It is a Trojan Horse. The worst one is SniperSpy.

 2. Phishing Attack is the most popular way of hacking/stealing other’s password. This attact works by using fake login pages to fool innocent Orkut users to enter their Orkut username and password in these fake login pages instead of the real ones. When the users land on these pages they enter their Orkut username and password thinking it to be the real page but actually it is other way round. It submits all the entered details to the creator of the fake login page. In this way it’s obvious for many people to lose their Google account password.

3. Orkut New Features: Some sites on internet may claim to offer many additional features for Orkut users. Also these sites will offer a login page from their own website and force users to login to their Orkut account from this page itself in order to gain access to the additional features. In fact these sites  take away your password when you enter your Orkut username and password on their pages. This is similar to that of phishing attack.

 4. Community Links: Many times you are provided with a link to a community in a scrap. Read the link carefully, It may be something like http://www.okrut.com/Community.aspx?cmm=22910233 OKRUT not ORKUT. This is definitely a trap created by the hacker to hack your Orkut password. Clicking on this link will take you to a fake login page and there you lose  your password.

5. Java script: You must have seen  circulating scraps that asks you to paste this code in your address bar and see what happens! Well sometimes they also leak out your information. Check the code and if you are unsure of what to do, then I recommend not to use it. So be careful, javascripts can even be used to hack Orkut!

6. Primary mail address: If by some means a hacker came to know the password of your Yahoo mail or Gmail, which users normally keeps as their primary mail address in their Orkut account, then hacker can hack Orkut account by simply using USER ID and clicking on ‘forget password’. This way Google will send link to the already hacked primary email ID to change the password of the Orkut account. Hence the email hacker will change your Orkut account’s password. Hence your, Google account is hacked too.

So a better thing would be to keep a very unknown or useless email ID of yours as primary email id so that if the hacker clicks on ‘Forgot password’ the password changing link goes to an unknown email id i.e. not known to the hacker. Hence your Google account saved.

Gmail Backup

The search engine giant Google is never short of solutions for  problems that may crop up any moment. In India last month Google suffered the 'Bug' problem with G-mail account and many users lost their mails. This is the right time to introduce offine facility. Listen to the words from  Matthew R. Glotzbach, director for product management, "I think in the near future you will see the offline capability return to the Apps suite," We can expect this feature at the end of this year or as new year gift of 2012.Any way In the present condition we can backup mails by Gmail Backup, developed by Jan Švec, Filip Jurčíček. Not only back up but also restoring toois available with it.

The latest release is 0.107, which welcomes improvisation by comments. If you are using Gmail Labs, make sure you  have enabled the IMAP access. Otherwise Gmail Back up will say "Unsupported language of Gmail". If you wish to use this software in Linux  you will need the wxPython (http://wxpython.org/) packages installed. It also requires the ctypes module, and it should be included in the Python 2.5 distribution. Google Labs is one of the best features from Google, unfortunatly, though  not so familure with users.

Please backup your mails using Gmail backup, Oh! you should not worry about the password, They will not store password. Passowrd is not a problem when you are using "2 step verification"  Softpedia  certified 100% virus, spyware and adware.

 I should think about the Electronic waste [E-waste], Why not me only, everyone should think about it.  Last night I watched a movie Wall-E, which posturized the future world. The amount of waste material is directly proportional to the number of productions. For  example when the production of a computer, we use X number of transistors, plastic, glass and diodes etc. After a few days later technology will find out advanced products. So the earlier products become obsolete.  This time the waste material is X times greater than production. We couldn’t recycle or destroying this waste. Actually we do not have any clear-cut idea about recycling. If we burn this plastic materials, it harm  our environment. Everyone knows it but many continue this nonsense. Please never burn plastic.

                I noticed that some guys throw out the home waste at vulnerable areas like forests and mountain ranges. They behave like senseless mechanical beings.  This plastic material affects the normal growth of root systems, creates water pollution, and is very very bad for our eco system . The movie WALL–E describes the defects of waste management. In 2805, the movie says,  we will miss greenish trees, blue sky, rivers and finally this magnificent earth. Did you ever think about the human became A ROBOT? After 200-500 years later this might happen. Thank God we are safe: NOW! But we are responsible for the future.

What can we do??

                         I have many suggestions. First  reduce the use of plastic material and promote the technology like green computing. Now governments spends money for research in nuclear technology and weapons etc. Last week Japan faced Fukushima nuclear plant destruction; not only Japan but also Asian countries expect acid rain due to this problem. This is the right time think ‘ How can we clean nuclear rays from air? ’ .Governments should start ‘ clean waste ‘ plants and research labs and more.  If you want to live in this beautiful world, and leave a wonderful legacy to the next generation, please think and share this with your friends, Live in nature….                My sister wanted to check my internet activities, so she asked my mail password. Now I don't have worry about it, earlier also, coz nothing is there. But today she is asking for my mobile phone too. Thanks to Google.com for protecting me from hackers, also from sistern noqw I have no worries.

                           Last month Google.com had  annouced "2 step verification" This is an extra layer security. Which  means   even if someone steals or guessess your password, but  still they won`t be able to  sign in tyour account without your phone.

               You can activate this service from Google account settings. This is very easy to config. After confirmitation of cell phone/landline Google will provide you 10 back up codes. That you need to keep safe. If your phone is unavilable you can use these codes to access account.

Keep your Facebook Account Safe

Four Security Suggestions from Facebook  

If you are the unfortunate victim of a scam on Facebook, and your Facebook account gets hacked, there are several steps you can take to reclaim your account and your get your Facebook life back in order.

1. Attempt to Reclaim your Account -If your account has been hacked, but you can still access your Facebook login email address, then you can reclaim your account by resetting the password here: http:facebook.com/reset.php. You may also use the "Forgot your password?" link on the Facebook sign on screen. If you know the hacker changed the email address you use to log in to your Facebook account, report the issue to Facebook with this link: http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=1011#!/help/?page=1023. They will investigate the matter and attempt to restore your account.

2. Change your Passwords - The hacker obviously gained access to your email address and password somehow, so you need to make sure you change the password to your email address immediately. If you use the same password to access other accounts, especially banking, financial institutions, and other email addresses, etc., then make sure to change those passwords immediately as well. Assume the hacker gained complete access to the email account you use to access Facebook. Carefully assess the impact of the compromise and try to do as much damage control as possible.

3. Scan your Computer - It is likely that the hacker gained entry to your computer through a virus or other malware. Make sure you have a current and up-to-date anit-virus program installed on your computer, and do a thorough scan of your system. If you accessed your Facebook account from another computer, then let the owner of that computer know of the attack. They will need to scan their machine as well.

4. Notify your Friends & Family - Getting hacked can be an embarrassing and humiliating experience, but don't let this discourage you from notifying your friends and family of the incident. The hacker may use your account to send them malicious links and to phish for their personal information as well. By alerting them immediately, you can help them avoid the same situation you have found yourself in.

Lastly, take a deep breath and try not to panic! It may take a little bit of time and effort to correct the situation, but quick action on your part can help to minimize the damage caused by the incident and help get things back to normal
