Why should I get Windows 7 ?

Why should I get Windows 7 ?
Sarathlal

There are dozens of reasons, big and small, to get Windows 7. Microsoft designed it to simplify your everyday tasks, work the way you want, and make new things possible. Windows 7 is the latest release of Microsoft Windows, a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, net books, etc. Windows 7 was released to manufacturing on July 22, 2009, and reached general retail availability on October 22, 2009.
Windows 7 is available in six different editions, but only Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate are widely available at retail. The other editions are focused at other markets, such as the developing world or enterprise use. All editions support the 32-bit processor architecture and all editions except Starter support the 64-bit processor architecture.

Command Windows 7 by your voice & touching!
Some of the new features included in Windows 7 are advancements in touch, speech, and handwriting recognition, support for virtual hard disks, support for additional file formats, improved performance on multi-core processors, improved boot performance, and kernel improvements

How secure is your password ??

My Password is secure; What about you??

What is a password?
Is it a code to protect your account?
Yes, password is combination of character, symbol, and numbers etc. to protect your account.
Last year, a  website published that most of the people used their password as 123456, a-z, 0-9 & their name.. It doesn’t make any sense in this world as this is very easy to identify by hackers.
I think now you have a question in your mind.. “How can we   set a secure password?”
It is  very easy to set a  secure password. When  you set a  password, it must contain at least one symbol, upper case letter , lower case letter,  number etc.. Minimum 10 letters  are  needed in your password..

Suppose you created a mail account in Hotmail [First E-mail service by Sabir Bhatiya]. Then registered your details in other website using your mail id with same password.. So your password is shared.
Remember ::When you want to register in a website , you must use different password for that website..
One important things is that your account provider will not ask your password by E-mail. If you want   someone’s password, you can hack it. If you do this job it’s a cyber-crime. So never try hacking. To type password , it is better to use ‘on screen keyboard’. Because  keylogger software will get your password, if it is in your computer.
To secure your password, use on screen keyboard and  to type your password & your password must contain lower case, upper case character, symbol and numbers . My password is now secure; what about you??
Happy, but careful browsing J

Let Go - The Third Girl

Online Dreams - Anil Emage

I was among children in a computer centre during a summer vacation outdoor training session when I received a call from LeadCap, our partner in Leadership Village YLP, a vision for the Indian Villages.Sangeeth , the founder of LeadCap was at the other end and he broke the news calmly.

"Anil, you are going to do a session with me in Bangalore "

And of all the places, the session was to be held at Microsoft, a place you or me need no introduction.

So it all started. Laila and myself reached Bangalore, met Sangeeth and I refused to do a PPT simply for the reason that I have never done such a presentation in my life. But instead I showed the pictures of my children to the 23 selected Microsft Student Partners, brand Ambassadors of Microsoft and porudly came back for being played my humble part in the leadership sessions of LeadCap.

Then we learned how to make PPTs, bought a laptop, started nurturing dreams of starting online training sessions and Microsft Student Partners from Coimbatore came here , we were invited to Coimbatore and now again we are getting ready to go ahead with our IT educational activities.

I take this opportunity, first to thank Sangeeth for inviting us to Microsoft, Leadlab sessions for initiating us to the world of internet and CBEUG members for supporting us when we needed it desperately.

Now one of our students has designed this wonderful blog and I thank Sharath for his wonderful work and as one of the directors of AFRC, alongwith Laila, let me happily hand over this blog to Roshan, a plus one student who dreams of becoming something great in the world of computers. Roshan is just the tip of the iceberg and my best wishes are with his team , ably supported by Sharath ,Pooja, Ramsheena and Geethanjali.
